BIS boosts lung disease research budget

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills spent £9.9 million on research into lung disease in the year 2012-13, compared with £494,000 on cardiovascular diseases.

In 2011-12 BIS provided the same amount, £486,000, for both diseases through programmes run by the Technology Strategy Board.
