Government to keep social science input ‘under review’

The government says it will keep the need for input from social scientists “under review” following concerns from MPs that ministers often do not take their views into consideration when setting policy.

The pledge came in response to a report by the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee on the census and social science, published in September.
