Public health minister Nicola Blackwood could lose her seat to the Liberal Democrats in the 8 June election, according to a YouGov poll.

Blackwood (above, left), a former chairwoman of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee, was appointed junior minister in the Department of Health with the rise of Theresa May to Downing Street.

Polling shows that she is neck to neck with the Lib Dem candidate Layla Moran (right) in the Oxford West and Abingdon constituency. As of 5 June, YouGov put both candidates on 40 per cent, with the Labour Party candidate Marie Tidball trailing far behind, on 17 per cent.
