Britain faces exodus of highly skilled EU workers

Nearly a million highly qualified European Union citizens working in the UK are likely to leave as a result of the country’s vote for Brexit, according to a study by an international business consultancy.

KPMG surveyed 2,000 workers from other EU member states in Britain between 14 and 31 July asking whether they intended to stay in the country or not and the reasons for their decision.

The overall responses showed that 8 per cent of the surveyed EU workers were planning to leave, 35 per cent are thinking about it, 45 per cent plan to stay in Britain, and 13 per cent have not yet thought about it.
