Space agency grants aim to inspire the young

The UK Space Agency has invited schools and other organisations to bid for a share of £140,000 to support science education and outreach activities.

Funds must be used to promote the agency’s education strategy, which aims to encourage young people to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics subjects so that they will be equipped to work in high-tech industries.

Organisations can use the funds to develop curricula or to run activities that promote careers in the space industry. They may also use the funds to carry our public engagement or to establish informal education activities.
