UK-China collaboration to tackle air pollution

Filter systems to tackle air pollution caused by industry and transport are among the research projects to be funded in a UK-Shanghai business collaboration.

Twenty companies from the UK and China are to collaborate in manufacturing, smart city and healthcare projects, Innovate UK announced on 28 September.

Innovate UK will jointly fund the research with the Science and Technology Department of Shanghai Municipality. The UK government agency said the programme will form collaborations in the "global growth sectors", and support further “business development between the two countries”.
