The second phase of the UK’s National Quantum Technologies Programme should support the establishment of innovation centres to boost commercialisation, MPs have said.
The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee said that the proposed centres should provide access to facilities for developing, manufacturing, testing and validating quantum technologies.
The centres should focus on the development of commercial products and target specific markets, the committee said in a report published on 6 December, which is the result of a 10-month inquiry into quantum technologies.
