UK losing out on recruiting non-EU researchers via Tier 1 route
British universities are failing to properly exploit a special category of visas created for the world’s most talented researchers, according to data obtained through freedom of information requests.
In 2017 there were 1,000 exceptional talent Tier 1 visas available, but only 693 were issued.
