Party sets 3 per cent target with roadmap expected by ‘the earliest date possible’

The Liberal Democrats have committed to increasing R&D spending to 3 per cent of GDP in the party’s election manifesto.

Unveiled on 20 November, the document outlines the party’s ambition to become “the best place in the world for innovation-led businesses in the long-term—to be a place where people come from across the European Union and the world to turn their ideas into reality”.
