Science minister says the programme will be announced next March
Science minister Chris Skidmore has revealed a £5 billion home-grown UK replacement for the European Union’s Galileo satellite system ahead of an official announcement he says will happen March 2020.
In an interview with the Express newspaper published just days ahead of the UK general election, Skidmore said 50 companies had so far been involved in a £92 million feasibility study to look at replacing the system.
