UKspace responds to plans for a £5 billion home-grown UK replacement for the EU satellite

A space trade body has welcomed plans for a £5 billion home-grown UK replacement for the European Union’s Galileo satellite system—but warns that “damage has already been done” to UK industry’s involvement in Galileo as a result of Brexit uncertainty.

Science minister Chris Skidmore revealed the plans on 9 December ahead of an official announcement he says will happen in early 2020.
