This is our money anyway, paid to Brussels and then given back, the party says

Perhaps surprisingly for a party that drove much of the political momentum for Brexit, the UK Independence Party launched its manifesto on 2 December by pledging to maintain EU administered funding to UK universities and research organisations after Brexit in January 2020.

“On leaving the EU, we will maintain payments administered by the EU to UK businesses, farms, universities, and research organisations,” it says. “This is our money anyway, which is paid to Brussels and then given back.”
