Ofsted’s research chief struggles to obtain settled status

The head of research at England’s schools inspectorate Ofsted has complained that his application for settled status has been “rejected”.

Daniel Muijs, who has held senior academic positions at a number of UK universities, took to Twitter to express his frustration after he was told to submit further evidence of his residence in the UK.

“Have just found out my application for settled status in UK has been rejected,” Muijs tweeted on 6 April. “I now need to find evidence of residence since 2013. Not a good feeling.”
