Skidmore trails ‘exciting new funding’ in final 2.4% speech

The UK science minister has promised ‘exciting’ funding announcements ahead of his final speech on how the government will hit its 2.4 per cent R&D spending target.

At 4pm on 10 July, Chris Skidmore is giving the fourth and final speech in his series on the path towards meeting the government’s aim of spending 2.4 per cent of GDP on R&D by 2027.

“Looking forward to making some exciting new research funding announcements…as part of my final ‘Road to 2.4 per cent’ speech on increasing private investment in R&D and becoming an #innovationnation for the future,” he tweeted on 9 July.
