Brexit: ‘A loss-loss for UK and EU’

As Brexit approaches, scientists look at what lies beyond

On 31 January, almost four years after the UK narrowly voted to leave the European Union, and after a couple of missed deadlines, the country is finally set to exit the bloc.

Initial fears that Brexit might immediately trigger a catastrophic exodus of EU researchers and a severing of incoming funds seem to have subsided, although many still complain of a lack of clarity and communication about future association with EU programmes.
