Patrick Vallance warns of ‘irreparable damage’ if government does not get immigration right
UK science faces “irreparable damage” if the government does not adopt the right approach on immigration, the chief scientific adviser has said.
Speaking on 23 January at the Campaign for Science and Engineering’s annual lecture, Patrick Vallance said “UK science is absolutely dependent on its place internationally, is absolutely dependent upon migration of great scientists into this country and is absolutely dependent on our ability to form collaborations across the world”.
