Royal Society describes scheme as a ‘welcome and attractive visa route’ for talented international researchers
Plans for an unlimited number of ‘Global Talent’ visas aimed at attracting the world’s top researchers have received a warm welcome from UK research leaders.
Set to open on 20 February, the new visa route will replace the existing Tier 1 “exceptional talent” visa route used by some researchers, the government announced on 26 January.
