The controversial £30,000 salary cap for skilled migrants that is opposed by many research groups could be scrapped after Brexit, according to media reports.

According to multiple reports on 21 January, the policy will be scrapped as it will not fit with prime minister Boris Johnson’s plans for an Australian-style points-based immigration system.
