Government confirms £1.4bn investment in animal health

Money will be used to redevelop Animal and Plant Health Agency in Weybridge

The government has confirmed a £1.4 billion investment in the Animal and Plant Health Agency to tackle animal and plant diseases.

The investment, first announced in the 11 March budget, will be used to redevelop the current facility in Weybridge, which houses specialist research and laboratory facilities, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed on 16 March.
