Widespread approval of commitment to boost R&D spending to £22 billion a year
Reactions have come in thick and fast from the research sector following chancellor Rishi Sunak’s budget statement on 11 March, which promised to increase R&D spending to £22 billion a year by 2024, in a speech dominated by the response to coronavirus.
