Funder has also launched Centre for Engagement and Dissemination to increase public involvement in research

The National Institute for Health Research increased its investment in research programmes by £91 million last year.

According to the health funder’s annual report for 2018-2019, it awarded more than £317m in funding to 334 research projects—an increase of £91m from the previous year.
