Higher Education Funding Council for Wales would be replaced with commission for HE and research
Delayed legislation that would see a new overarching body replace the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales has finally opened for consultation.
The proposed Tertiary Education and Research Commission for Wales would bring together funding and oversight for higher education, further education, apprenticeships and Welsh government-funded research, as well as sixth forms.
