Policy experts welcome ‘forward- and outward-looking’ plan, but worry about omissions on details

The research sector has broadly welcomed a “forward- and outward-looking” R&D roadmap promising to cut red tape and level up the UK, but some policy experts have raised concerns about what they see as omissions.

Published on 1 July, the roadmap includes plans for an Office for Talent based at Number 10 to make it easier for leading global scientists, researchers and innovators to come to the UK.
