Universities are still reeling from the A-level grades fiasco as labs adjust to the new normal

As the new academic year begins in the UK, the sector is grappling with the Covid-19 crisis and decisions taken by the government over the summer.

Several voices in the sector are now warning that universities have been left with inadequate guidance from the government about how to reduce on-campus coronavirus risks and deal with outbreaks, as laboratories struggle to get back to their previous levels of productivity.
