Alok Sharma to be replaced by Kwasi Kwarteng ahead of UN climate conference in Glasgow

Alok Sharma is to step down from his role as business secretary to become full-time president of the United Nations COP26 climate conference, which is set take place in Glasgow in November.

Kwasi Kwarteng, formerly minister of state for Business, Energy and Clean Growth, will take over as secretary of state for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
