Plans to revise BEIS document abandoned in favour of ‘post-pandemic, Treasury-led growth programme’

The UK government has reportedly scrapped plans to revise its industrial strategy.

According to the Financial Times newspaper, plans to refresh the 2017 document have been abandoned as ministers focus on a “post-pandemic, Treasury-led growth programme” to be announced by chancellor Rishi Sunak in the coming weeks.
