Science minister sets out need for role models to solve STEM’s gender problems

Science minister Amanda Solloway has called for a more level playing field for women as she again underlined her mission to shift research culture onto a fairer path.

On 8 March—International Women’s Day—Solloway announced a tranche of funding for female innovators, stressing the need for more role models for women in science, technology, engineering and maths fields that are still dominated by men.
