UK sets out vision for post-pandemic clinical research

Health ministers say nation should capitalise on “heightened spirit of collaboration and innovation” during Covid-19

The UK government has said the Covid-19 pandemic must be used as a “springboard” to deliver faster, more efficient and more innovative clinical research.

In a new report, Saving and improving lives: the future of UK clinical research delivery, the health department’s minister for innovation James Bethell and his counterparts in the devolved administrations say the past 12 months have seen a “step-change, with a heightened spirit of collaboration and innovation driving everything we have achieved”.
