Estimated £702 million spent on space R&D in 2018-19—an increase of 8.6 per cent

The UK space industry R&D intensity is six times the UK average, and has been growing almost 9 per cent per year, a report from the UK Space Agency has suggested.

An estimated £702 million was spent on space-related R&D in 2018-19—equivalent to 4.3 per cent of total industry income.
