Boris Johnson urged to deliver on his 2019 promise to double dementia research spending
Leading figures in dementia research are demanding that the government honours its promise to double funding for research into the disease.
Ahead of the 2019 election that delivered Boris Johnson a huge majority, the prime minister called dementia “one of the great medical challenges of our time”, promising “a record injection of cash” amounting to more than £1.6 billion over this decade.
