Nick Hillman criticises Conservative forum for emphasis on anti-university culture war topics
A former Conservative adviser has criticised the party’s 2022 conference for being too focused on so-called ‘culture war’ issues.
Nick Hillman, now director of the Higher Education Policy Institute—who was previously a special adviser to former universities and science minister David Willetts—said he had been attending Conservative Party conferences for the last 22 years, as well as Liberal Democrat and Labour Party equivalents.
