Former home secretary had been expected to restrict post-study work visas
The departure of former home secretary Suella Braverman from the Home Office means that her unpopular plan to crack down on international student and graduate visas is off the table for now, the head of Universities UK has said.
According to Westminster sources, Braverman (pictured)—who was replaced as home secretary by Grant Schapps on 19 October after breaching government security rules—was this week expected to unveil a range of reforms designed to reduce the number of international students, graduates and their dependants in the UK.
