Freeman tells MPs he will shortly be “extending guarantee” on underwriting delayed Horizon Europe grants
The UK government is set to extend its funding ‘safety net’ for successful applicants to Horizon Europe funding, should the UK’s association to the scheme be delayed further.
The government first announced the safety net, essentially a guarantee to cover Horizon grants that are delayed, in November 2021, but this was limited to ‘first wave’ winners of several funding calls that have already been closed or awarded.
