Excluding UK partners “shouldn’t be happening” while country waits to join Horizon Europe, says official
Government officials are concerned that UK partners are being kicked out of research projects awarded EU funding, due to continuing uncertainty over whether the UK will join the bloc’s R&D programme.
As delays to the UK joining the EU’s €95.5 billion (£80.5bn) Horizon Europe programme drag on, British researchers have reported being dropped from collaborative projects because European partners do not have faith in the funding guarantee put in place by the UK government.
