Shadow science minister describes institution in 1980s as “very male, very racist and very sexist”

Shadow science minister Chi Onwurah has opened up about her experience of racism at Imperial College London when she was a student, which she described as the “worst experience of my life”.

In an interview on The Life Scientific on BBC Radio 4 on 24 May, Onwurah described the institution as “very male, very racist and very sexist” during her time as an engineering student in the 1980s.
