Shadow science minister says inclusive innovation should be seen as an “economic imperative”

A Labour government would make R&D “more representative of the population it serves”, Labour’s shadow science minister has said.

Speaking this week at a Labour Party conference fringe event on inclusive innovation, Chi Onwurah said that too often inclusivity in R&D was seen as a “tick-box exercise driven by social justice themes more than economic imperative”.
