R&D lobby urges Liz Truss to invest more in research

                                    

Letters comes as sector awaits news on who the new science minister will be

The Campaign for Science and Engineering has urged the new prime minister Liz Truss to invest 3 per cent of GDP into research and development.

Meanwhile, chief executive of the Russell Group, Tim Bradshaw, has written to Truss and new chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng to ask that they prioritise research.
