Research Professional News examines new appointee’s political background

Conservative MP Andrew Griffith was appointed minister of state for the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology on 13 November, succeeding George Freeman after a cabinet reshuffle.

Griffith attended a state comprehensive school, has a degree in law from Nottingham University (graduated 1992) and is a chartered accountant. His business career saw him become an executive at Sky Media, before his move into politics.
