Funder fails to give timeline for update or findings of investigation urged by state secretary

UK Research and Innovation has declined to provide any detail on an ongoing investigation into its advisory group on equality, diversity and inclusion.

The UK’s national research funder has been embroiled in a public row with researchers, many of whom are unhappy it has suspended the recently set up EDI group after secretary of state for science Michelle Donelan urged it to do so.
