UK science and technology secretary Michelle Donelan has said association to the EU’s Horizon Europe R&D programme is her “preference”, but on the basis of a “good deal”—echoing recent comments made by the prime minister.
In a letter to the chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee, the minister said: “We are discussing association to Horizon Europe with the EU, and hope our negotiations will be successful. That is our preference.”
