Donelan and Gabriel’s absences ‘not hampering Horizon talks’

With R&D leaders currently on leave, talks are continuing at level of officials, government says

The long-delayed UK association to EU R&D programmes is still being negotiated, despite the two R&D leaders from the UK and EU currently being on leave of absence.

In early April the UK’s secretary of state for science Michelle Donelan went to Brussels for talks with the EU’s research commissioner Mariya Gabriel, raising hopes that talks would gather pace.
