Millions Boris Johnson promised to Pandemic Sciences Institute never arrived

The University of Oxford’s Pandemic Sciences Institute has not received any of the government-promised £150 million in funding, its director told MPs.

During the pandemic in 2020, former prime minister Boris Johnson committed £150 million to the institute, which was set up to draw upon lessons from Covid to identify and counter future pandemic threats.
