Junior science minister says government open to taking part in next EU R&I scheme

The UK government would be prepared to participate in the next EU research and innovation programme, one of the ministerial team at the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology has revealed. 

Jonathan Berry, parliamentary under-secretary of state for the department, told the House of Lords on 30 January that the government would ‘look favourably’ on taking part in the next iteration of the EU’s research funding scheme, Horizon Europe.
