MPs urge for-sale lab be used to break phage ‘impasse’

      

£1 billion lab on Rightmove could help speed progress in research on bacteria-eating viruses

MPs have urged the government to break an “impasse” in developing bacteria-eating viruses for medical use via a government-owned mega-lab that is currently for sale on Rightmove.

Concerns have already been raised over the potential loss of the UK’s Rosalind Franklin Laboratory after it popped up on the property-selling website.
