MPs urged to back more diversity in UK science sector

Several organisations seek to encourage equality of representation

The next UK government should create a long-term strategy for greater diversity and inclusion in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics community, a charity has urged.

Each political party should commit to ensuring that science reflects and represents people from all backgrounds, according to a manifesto released by the British Science Association on 1 February, ahead of the general election later this year.
