Researcher leading review defends process, saying science community is concerned about clear data on sex

The impartiality of a government-commissioned review on sex and gender has come under fire from several academics, while the researcher leading the study has said it is “in no way party political”.

Concerns have been raised over the review leader’s views on biological sex and gender, as well as the government’s stance on transgender issues.
