Robert Halfon unexpectedly steps down in fresh blow to prime minister and his government
The skills, apprenticeships and higher education minister Robert Halfon has unexpectedly announced his resignation.
In a letter to Rishi Sunak on 26 March, the MP for Harlow said he will also stand down as MP at the next general election.
