Freedom of information request shows UKRI investigation cost £23,000, in addition to £15,000 settlement
Michelle Donelan’s letter about members of an advisory panel to UK Research and Innovation has cost taxpayers at least £38,000, the latest data indicate.
An investigation at UKRI into claims made by the science secretary in her letter cost over £23,000, the umbrella funder has revealed. The figure came to light in a UKRI response, sent on 26 March, to a freedom of information request from Michael Merrifield, an emeritus professor of astronomy at the University of Nottingham.
