Science secretary faces calls to resign for publishing letter that sparked legal settlement

The UK science secretary Michelle Donelan is on the back foot as false allegations she made about an academic threaten to derail her leadership.

On 12 March, Donelan made a partial apology while defending some actions taken by her and officials in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
