Science minister Andrew Griffith has said the government will be looking for the next leader of national funding agency UK Research and Innovation from the “widest range of backgrounds”.

Speaking at Research Professional News Live today, Griffith also addressed the libel settlement scandal being weathered by the science and technology secretary Michelle Donelan, saying that ministers “must not use intemperate language” but that it is time to “move on”.
